We have been thoroughly enjoying our summer! It has been so nice having Jacob home everyday! I wish we could freeze time so summertime could last forever. We've been staying up late and sleeping in every chance we get. We had a great visit with Grandmom and Grandpop and as always, it was hard to see them go! Jim has gotten right back in the swing of things at work :). He is so happy to be back and I am equally as happy for him! Abbey has been feeling good overall. She had a really bad rash on her face for a couple weeks that just cleared up and none of us (including her doctors) can figure out what caused it. It's gone now so hopefully it will stay away. Today was her chemo day and her numbers were good and everything went as planned. We continue trucking along with her treatment, knowing that the end is in sight :). Our hearts are full as we have much to be thankful for, including all of you :). Thanks for checking in!

What a wonderful summer time of pictures! :) Such a trooper Abbey is, love that she is always full of smiles. That really reminds me of how my friend Leigh was.God is so good!
Keep up the fun the rest of the summer! Love you guys!
Hi Shelley! I've just discovered your blog it really moved me! You are obviously doing a wonderful job and I will keep your whole family in my prayers from now on!
My young grandson suffered burns to his upper body last year at the age of 16 months (he's fine now!) and we got to know the Red Cross Children's hospital in Cape Town really well.
We decided as a family to give something back and I'll be climbing Kilimanjaro in Tanzania next month ro raise funds for the hospital. Looking at your blog has just given me so many ideas and I'm going to see if I can't raise awareness for some of the little one's at the hospital who really need praying for so desperately, even after the climb.
The internet really has made us a global family and every bit of support these children can get is wonderful!
All the very best to you and your family!
