Happy New Year!
Hope you all had a great New Years Day :)! We had our traditional pork, sauerkraut and dumplings dinner at my parents house and it is most definitely my favorite meal of the year! My mom (pictured with the pork) is a great cook and makes the very best ps&d dinner around... hands down! The cousins had a great time together and we all really enjoyed our day.
We woke up to lots of snow and it is just beautiful! It snowed on and off all day and there's nothing better than being with family, in a warm cozy home with lots of good food, hearing the kids play and laugh while watching huge snowflakes fall outside (and a good football game on t.v. too).
We got some cute pics of my sister Stacey's kids and our kids together. And speaking of Stacey, do I not have the most amazing sister ever?!!! If you didn't read the post that she did before this one, be sure to scroll down and read it! Thanks so much Stacey :)! I love you much and seriously do not know what we would do without you. She has been our biggest support and cheerleader as we've gone through this time. She is not only my sister, but my very best friend. Words seriously can't tell you how good she is to us! She has been there literally since the minute we found out Abbey had leukemia and has been by our side since. She is such a blessing and gift from God:)!
I added a couple pics of Caleb alone so you could see how much he's growing. I had to change the color because he was laying on a pink blanket :). The fourth kid gets whatever is clean so you will often see him with girl blankets and yellow sleepers if that's all that's clean :). Don't tell him when he gets older! We just had his 2 month checkup and he is already up to 12 lbs. 7 ozs! He is growing like a weed and starting to be more social with smiles and coos. He's a precious little peanut!
Abbey had clinic yesterday. Her ANC was 1250 which is just right and her blood work looked really good. She got her monthly chemo (vincristine) in her port and she is on her steroids right now for five days. If she continues to be healthy with no fevers, we will not have to go back to clinic for 1 whole month! We have never gone a whole month without being there so please pray that she would continue to be fever and sickness free so we can get this break. She has been feeling great overall and we are so pleased with how well she continues to do. Today is the first day that we are able to say that she will be completely done with treatment next year! She will be done sometime at the beginning of 2011 so we're excited to be in 2010! We're getting there... each day we're one day closer to her being completely, 100% cancer free :)!
Thanks for checking in! Blessings to you all in the New Year :)!
